Simple Greenby noranekoComment by bassbone: Really nice image Catherine - love the depths of the green tones in the leaves, the dew to add needed contrast, and the placement at an angle across the field of view. I think this last observation may have hurt you a little with the viewers as people wanted to see a 'symmetrical' image more than symmetrical objects. I gave it a 7 during the challenge. |

Simple Greenby noranekoComment by SaraR: 57th place? I gave this one of three 10s, and I still love it just as much as I did when I first viewed it. I certainly had expected to see this in the top 10 - you will have to remain content that you have produced a photograph that has pleased a great many people, is frame worthy, and can stand alone on it's own merits outside of any themed challenge. |

Simple Greenby noranekoComment by jaysonmc: Wonderful colors and patterns. Nice control of light. Personally I think it is a wonderful photo with great control of depth of field across the horizontal access. |

Beyondby noranekoComment by JerseyGenie: Catherine, this is an amazing shot. I love it. The sand is so white and soft looking it could be mistaken for snow. I love the tracks, the waves in the sand, the foliage, and the sky. Everything comes together and works perfectly. |

Beyondby noranekoComment by SandyP: Ohmy, Catherine! This is beautiful! When I lived in El Paso, I used to love to go to White Sands. It is unbelievable. I'll never forget just rolling miles of those white sand dunes. You have captured its beauty so well! This is so sharp and clean!

Americanaby noranekoComment by violinist123: Best part about this is the lady's face - like the tones and expression, even the hard lighting gives a feel of reality to the scene. Personally I find most of the other elements in the shot to be a distraction, chief of which would be the flag being held in front of her face (unfortunate). |

Beyondby noranekoComment by Jutilda: It really goes from light to dark as you get to the back of the shot! I love sand dunes. |
