I'm pretty sure I have a very similar shot, minus the grain, from the Grand Canyon. Is this on the north rim? Intresting grain added, looks different then most grain images.

Nice, emotive shot, Jeanne. I wonder whether it would have more impact either with much more contrast or much less. The feeling I get from it is one of loss, of fading away, so I'd try lower contrast and see what happens.

That's yummy. My one critique would be to rid it of the orange part of the frame. If you make it at all a diff. color, do it really thin, 1 pixel and a more muted tone. (just my opnion)

Love the lighting and the mystery of the blur.

I'm glad I looked twice at this. That old street light and the setting sun juxtaposed with The Big Apple are really thought provoking. MelonMusketeer is right -- it's '50's noir in color.

With the old street lamp and pier in the foreground, it looks a bit like a 50's detective movie scene, except that it is in glorious color. I see why you like it.
