Water does not always run downhill does it? My impression from the thumbnail shot was that this was going to be an aerial photo. It's a nice surprise, and the slant helps make it intresting to me. I also like the see thru border.

Okay, I know I keep pushing you to crank up the sharpness, but distant leaves are an example where there that often doesn't work. Try this with the leaves softer; they look too crunchy to my eye in this version.

Very pretty and your solid compositional sense comes through once again. This is a great example of why blue skies hurt ya - they're just not that interesting. Keep this tree in mind and go back when it's stormy. With dramatic clouds filling the sky, this will be a more vibrant, eye-catching shot.

I'd also encourage you to try the gaussian/fade treatment on this: Do a gaussian blur with a pretty big radius, like 80, then go into edit->fade to about 50%. It can give a nice glow to vibrant colors like what you have here.

Your comment made me chuckls. Yes, if you like it, that IS all that counts. :) I like the plant's angle, but I have to admit the shot overall doesn't do much for me. But I agree with the other commenters that you should keep this technique in your mind for deliberate use!
