Pot of Goldby JuliBocComment by klstover: I love tea, and I love the concept here. It actually made me smile looking at this shot. I gave it a seven, so that's a good score I think, but I would have gone higher if not for the background (as raish was speaking of). |

This is a very fresh idea. I think maybe (if you were the sort of votes hawk that spends massive amounts of time and energy setting up shots) that it could me more effective against either a blurred out (bokeh) window/garden background or just a landscape picture of some sort, as well as the whole thing being stood up vertical - tea bags fixed somehow - with the rainbow more like a twelve o' clock to three o' clock quadrant and the honey pot inside it but less central. Maybe any old background would do, but preferably less intrusive/less in focus. I'm just thinking the effect could be a little lighter and airier (?) with a sort of off centre orientation.
Don't mind me, just thinking out loud. |
Raish, thank you for an excellent idea. Where were you when I needed you. I shot this photo in a room using available light from a picture window overlooking a Lake Superior beach. It was taken on a desk with a scotch tape dispenser on it. Why didn't I think of taping the tea bags to the window? *bangs head on wall* |

Arson - the Beginning and the Endby JuliBocComment by KarenNfld: This is a bit odd. It's like you either added the flames in photoshop or the picture of the fire is just that, a picture, and you took a photo of flames in front of it. Not convincing enough for me, sorry. |
