A clever idea and a technical success, it's less than successful in an artistic sense. DOF control is excellant and the lighting isn't over done creating blooms. The subject is less than interesting. A little more thought and better framing would have brought the rating higher.

Yes the eye is striped in all the photos of the Owl Butterflies. Seems weird.

It is said that a burden shared is a burden lightened, I'm not sure the same can be said about the pain of loss. I hope it can help that we have shared some of your loss through these lovely images, and you good words, perhaps in sharing , you can lighten your load.
