You went a little overboard on the sharpening/USM - remember that it can't make up for bad focus (I often have to tell myself that!) | B&W may have worked better here | A little vignetting would have helped focus the viewers attention | Lighting would have been nicer if the key was brought around 180 degrees & a light fill added where the main light source is right now (I know, you probably didn't have control over where the light was, but you could have moved the bag to coordinate with the light or used a trouble light -- anything!) | Perspective is flat, coming around & placing the camera so we were looking around it slightly would have brought more drama to the image.

Nice portrait. I like the tone and close crop.

One comment is that the sharpest focus appears to be on her lips/nose, as opposed to her eyes. But that's a common mistake.

It looks like her lips are more in focus than her eyes. I think this would look much crisper if her eyes were in focus. It is a very nice photo though.

I wish her hand was not in the picture..it distracts your focus
