The composition of this photo killed you right from the very start. Every single problem with this photo is directly related to it's composition. There was absolutly no thought prosess given to this at all. It looks like a classic point, shoot & go home. I am sorry if I seem overly harsh here but there is just no excuse for this. None at all.

Composition was not well-thought-out in this case...too much sharpening it seems.

Nice shot. The green stands out against the red background. Bit busy for me though.

The backlighting makes details disappear in the shadow. Maybe a fill flash would have helped?

Hi,
From a compositional stand point I see several problems. First off the right side of the photo leaves the viewer with a feeling of emptyness. There is nothing there. We have know way of knowing what is there. Are there trees, rocks, snow or does the world come to and end ?.
A piece of land jutting out, a building or a damn would have helped tremendously here. The sky is absolutly usless here there is nothing that has any benefit to the photo at all. I would have cropped it down to about 1/2 to 1" of the mountain tops giving it a more panoramic look. The expanse of water is missing something also, maybe a boat or water fowl giving the photo a sense of depth would have been a great help. The lower third of the photo needs something to give the entire photo some sort of scale the weeds do little here a tree in the lower left hand corner would have been nice. Over all it looks like the photographer here tried to do to much with the equipment he or she had on hand. My advice, Learn the limitations of your equipment and stay within them.

I like this. Perhaps next time, a little less sky to add to the impact of the blue water. A panoramic view would be awesome.

It looks very plesant. I like how you were able to get the color of the sky and the color of the water with out either being overexpoused.

Nice shot but the blue seems a little too primary. I like the inclusion of the weeds, and perhaps that mountain in the back needs a bit more definition/ needs to be darker.

A little over-exposed and sharpened too much
