Nice photo, but it feels crowded on the left and right sides relative to the top and bottom. If you had the option of pulling out further I might have liked to see that, otherwise a more square crop by bringing the top and bottom closer may have worked equally well. I also think the bright purple inner border is a slight distraction.

Nice photo, the frame is actually unecessary as it detracts from the impact of the bird's colouring. Other than that, perhaps more contrast around the head?

They don't sit very often - very nice catch of this little guy! Amazing purple in the feathers - very nicely offset with the gold (Mother Nature is an excellent color coordinator sometimes). A touch of noise reduction (Neat Image or Noise Ninja or the like) would smooth out the background a bit, helping even more to highlight the detail and color of the feathers.
