Did you use a tripod--it seems there was either camera shake or a lack of careful (and planned) focus. The eye bounces back and forth between the purple in the trees and the house in the lower right background.

These guys are hard to catch in the wild, but you seem to have him posing! But your autofocus was slower I think and to me this is just not near sharp enough. Also, it looks like it might need to have levels adjusted (contrast, brightness) since it doesn't appear to have true whites or blacks, and subjectively looks muddy (no pun intended!)

The textures aren't that clear. The colours are washed out. There's little sharpness. Overall, this photo could be improved in many ways. 2

Touch up the focus a bit and perhaps if possiable under expose it abit more and sharpen it. it seems washed out...has potential.
