This image meets the challenge with lines that lead directly to the subject. I like how the lines are under and above the bird, and echo each other.
The contrast is quite good and leaves no doubt as to the subject. The bird stands out nicely.
Unfortunately the eyes aren't visible. They are the most important aspect. Always try to focus on the eyes. IF the rest is a little fuzzy, so what! As long as you can see the eyes.
I'm sure you had to do this real quickly, before it flew away.
I like how the head is cocked. It shows expression and movement.

Charming old bridge, good colour in the concrete work, but would it not have been possilbe to back up and show more bridge and less ground work/bushes? Show more bridge and more of the river and top of the bridge and arches looking down to the river?
