I would like to have the colors more saturated, the fly is maybe a bit gray?

Your idea was great , but I find the grain in the wood distracting. It takes away from the beauty of this piece. Furthermore, why did you cut off the top part of it? To make it more interesting, you should have made a section of it center-focused...
