Certainly is alone! I like the play of color against the grey, the use of space helps increase the feeling of alone. The focus looks pretty good as is the use of natural lighting. That said, the image doesn't pop for me, its technically good but is missing a spark in my opinion. 6 due to tech. merit, would've been higher if the interest factor was there for me.

Wow, I love the contrasting textures in this image. The vase has a real organic, sensuous feel while the background is more structured. The lighting looks great to me. As a personal preference I'd rathered one of the blooms be facing me the viewer. The red against the neutral is just the right amount of color to draw the eye to the flowers, doesn't over power the simplicity of the image. Well done. 7

I like the contrast between the leaf and the asphalt, but the other little tree bits (Maple spinners etc) detract from the effect and the overall image.

Fall can deffinetley be a lonely season and this leaf is by itself. Nice shadows...they are actually calming and soften the blacktop.
