I would have liked the lighing to be a bit more even it is a little dark on the lower left side. I don't feel the shadow enhances the shot there

Nice detail and vivid colors. A sharper image would have helped things along.

Congrats on getting over 5! This is a nice image and meets the challenge well in my opinion. The fact that most English speaking members won't know the symbols means it didn't quite have the impact for some, but I see that one of your commenters did see it, which is very nice. (I always like it if just one person sees something in one of my pictures!) Your lens should suit most situations - keep playing with it. The lighting here is just a bit harsh in one spot - very hard to avoid with circular objects. What you might try is diffuse lighting - I shine a light on a white wall next to what I want to shoot, then use a longer exposure to accomodate the lower light on my subject, but it does spread the light a little more evenly that way. Keep at it - you're doing fine!

Thanks for the comments during voting, sorry I couldn't respond earlier. I understand that the image isn't perfectly symmetrical but kinda liked the way the trigrams(red line characters) inverted the symmetry as in the yin yang symbol each one represents an aspect of. Not very clear though and there are several other things that I fully understand receiving a lower vote for.
Anyway I beat my average and am therefore pleased with the result,........ 5.1!!!!!

Symmetry in that the balls are round and have read lettering, but with the letters being different; take away from the symmetry.
