I had this one at a lower score originally, but just had to pull it up to a 9 after looking at that light trail a few times. :) I really like this picture for it's high interest value. Any picture that makes me look twice deserves a high score in my book!

I think the light squiggle is a little too much and it detracts from the photo, though it does add interest. I think it might have been better if you only had the portion of the squiggle that's in the vase and not continued above it. I don't know how much control you had over that though. Still, an interesting photograph and good lighting and exposure.

I think the quality of this picture (focus, lighting, etc) is great. The details of it are visible and clear, and you have left no doubt what the outcome was! I also like how the sequence is even with a "before/during/after" feeling to it. At one point the "pilot's" head being cut off bothered me, but since the guitar is the object of focus, it really doesn't seem to matter. I think what is missing from this "story" (and it does a good job of telling one), is emotion. Technically it is very well done, but emotionally it comes up a bit short.
To be perfectly honest, I was surprised that this was yours. After seeing some of your other triptyches, this just doesn't seem to compare. Again, this one is good, but it lacked that certain element, the "wow" factor if you will, that made it shine above the others.

I truly enjoy your work, and hope that this doesn't sound too harsh.

Good choice of subject, but it's kind of blurry. Most postcards are quite sharp, almost macro-feeling, and in this one even the butterfly's blurry. The part most in focus, strangely, is the mass of stamens in the flower, which isn't really what you want the viewer focussing on. The general composition's quite good, though, and there's nice contrasts and colors. With a little more care for the focussing this could easily have gotten an 8 or 9 from me.
