Great capture! i think the only thing holding the image back is if the sky wasn't so drab looking... it works as negative space, but just a little too gray

The addition of the foreground element is definitely a good move- it breaks up the symmetry of the bridge and makes for a more compelling composition. Having said that, I feel as though this particular log just has too much 'ugliness' in it... the top half of the pic is serene like an impressionist painting, but the bottom half, while good from a compositional standpoint, just does not match up. The branches and the mud are just a little too busy and unappealing. Personally, i like the color scheme, maybe would be good to see with less cyan tho...
