The look.jpgby ATAPEComment by sea2c: This is certainly a well captured image. The expression is so perfect for kitty and the dof just supports the focus of the whole thing.
As for dtremain's comment, he just needs to realize that an lcd will do that! I see the same at home on mine, but my work crt pulls it off just fine. |

The musician.jpgby ATAPEComment by Budya: Love the composition. I wish there was a bit more light on his face (either that, or this monitor is dark). The big white sopt above this head is a bit distracting -- maybe try burning it a bit? |

The look.jpgby ATAPEComment by TCGuru: You have done a very very nice cat portrait here... makes me want to know what it was looking at :) |

The look.jpgby ATAPEComment by dtremain: Nice cature. Very nice expression, face in sharp focus, background up through neck OOF. Something definitely has the cat's attention. A couple of nits - the photo could have been straightened - a line from cat's ear to cat's right fore paw could have been parallel to the edge of the photo & I think it would improve the shot. The other thing may be just personal preference, but I find it highly distracting when post processing results in a topographical map look (I call it banding) in what should a gradient. Look at the bright spot just to the left of the cat's head - see the lines in the gray as you move down to the darker part of the shot? |

illuminated portby ATAPEComment by MAKamyk: I̢۪m just not feeling that this is within the Contre-jour technique. Nice shot just not what I think when I̢۪m looking for Contre-jour. |
