in MC Escher's world, this is not out of placeby schurgComment by e301: Your spot-editing leaves an awful lot to be desired - especially as it is without the scope of the rules for this challenge. Anyways, it's hardly convincing - it just obviously looks like two bits of photograph cobbled together along that left side of the 'puzzle'. I do quite like the mundanity of the location however, in this context. |

fire and iceby schurgComment by schurg: alright, finally this challenge is over, I thought I would do better then what I did. oh well. anyway, this isn't anything! it's a piece of broken 3/4" glass. it had all these neat shapes in it so I decided to photograph it, as for being dark, that was the point, I actually took the photo in the dark with a red led shining from below, and a blue led shining from the side, and no it's not oversaturated or over anything, I adjusted the levels down a bit to completely blacken the background, that's it! |

into the great abyssby schurgComment by schurg: I really appreciate all the comments on the photo. I tried this pic a couple different ways, less blue, no blue, more contast, less contrast, level adjustments, but I just kept coming back to the original, can't beat that! |

fire and iceby schurgComment by LeahStephen: I would have rated this picture pretty high (9-10), only it's too dark for me. It's also kind of out of focus on the left. Otherwise, I think you have some great colors and an interesting subject to look at! |

fire and iceby schurgComment by inspzil: Good strong colors but a littl bit on the too abstract side for my tastes. I don't understand the really tight crop leaving this strange aspect ratio. Good luck |
