Royal Canadian Gooseby MaryOComment by puzzled: Beautiful sunset. Since the goose is the subject, I'd love to see him a bit more clearly ... perhaps with some processing or a fill flash. |

Snow Falling on Cedarby MaryOComment by UrfaK: I can see that the best focus seems to be at the tip so pulling the composition towards more negative space would have been better..The contrast would have shown the glittery bits of ice better.. The dof causes the rest of the ice seem oof and the eye goes straight to that part rather then what should the focus.. Great find though.. |

Snow Falling on Cedarby MaryOComment by lunachicken: I'll also echo the DOF sentiment. If the whole main branch was in focus I think it would help. Also you might try to isolate the branch and highlight it in some way (maybe even lighten it up, or burn the background bokeh. That said the composition and colors are good. I probably would have voted this a 6 as is. |

Hiding Under Nana's Dining Room Sideboardby MaryOComment by JuliBoc: To get a high score and a Posthumous blue is a true indication of a fabulous image. You nailed the challenge with the dated look -- the shoes, skirt, and sepia tone, together with the 40's style pose. Great job. Congratulations. |

Hiding Under Nana's Dining Room Sideboardby MaryOComment by Bear_Music: Personally, I can't believe this didn't take the blue by a mile. In my opinion, it's far and away the best entry photographically and also meets the challenge "better", or at least more viscerally, than anybody else did. Nevertheless, killer finish! |

Quiet there, you contentious rapscallion. I am thrilled that DPC recognized your genius, almost. Fourth is still low. |
