Another clever image completely misinterpreted by this reviewer when the first rating run through was completed. On comment review, the humor jumped out and reasserted itself positively. This is one of those images that require some thought when viewing to catch the author's intent. Excellant DOF control, sharp and crip where needed, this was originally rated a seven and has been uprated to a 9. A technical and artistic success.

An interesting choice for meeting the subject challenge - very abstract and different. The image could be a little more dramatic. A little more focus would have helped this image score higher. A good, solid entry into the challenge.

Nailed it! I think a touch more sun on the Washington monument would have helped, but it's not totally buried in shadows. I think you were dealing with the same cloudy day as the previous D.C. photo I voted on.
