beautiful shot with nice patterns. I like the shift from the soft feathers on the left to the more textural ones on the right. Birds eyes always remind me of elderly people. This feels wrong vertical.

In general- I'm over the 'just a flower bit'. But this is not general. I love it! The lighting here is dramatic and perfectly done IMO & it's all very complimentary to the Sepia bit.

Great shot. I shot one a few years back and battled to identify it. That means that you have at least spent some time trying to identify your subject, a good NG trait. The title has helped the viewer identify the insect and get an education about it! I think you used a ring flash or off camera flash at least and this is not unheard of in NG but it has washed out the image a little. Still a good, thoughtful effort with decent focus on the head and everything is visible and well composed. Publishable? Sure.
