Moonscapeby sjonniComment by Kavey: Great lighting to just show only those areas that you want us to see. And given the shape of what we do see here, isn't it incredible how the human mind "fills in" what's missing so that the mind "sees" an entire face/ head? Gestalt theory or something like that - been too long since I was a student to remember! I like this very much! |

House of the Althingby sjonniComment by kiwiness: Personally I would have taken some steps backwards (unless there was a lake or something in the way that is) so that the whole building, inclusive flag pole was completely in the shot. The white line running through your photo at the bottom gives me the impression of car lights during a longer shutter speed. I know that isn't what it is, my guess is that it is a fence or something. At first glance however that is what I thought it was. |

House of the Althingby sjonniComment by Neuferland: A beautiful building and the black and white is very nice, good contrast and light but I would really like to have seen this shot in color to see if it might pop somre more. The (spiral?) in the center is interesting but it's cut off and so bright. Also the light is a bit blown out on the corner and to the left of the door. A tighter crop on the bottom might also help to me. A 4 |

House of the Althingby sjonniComment by justine: Please don't be insulted by my lack of knowledge. I had to look this up on google to know what is it. Wow....talk about an old history. It was built to last. Wonderful stone and windows. Love the b&w. Thanks for this I really like it and think it fits the challenge well. |
