I like this picture. I don't think its going to get rave reviews from the rest of the peanut gallery but I think it's wonderful and very powerful. I like seeing the roses portrayed in this way. They look beautifully rough and disturbing and were obviously taken with an artistic eye that is lacking in many of the "perfect" flower pictures.

Definately shows the age of the roses, the dried up leaves and stems. The colors of the flowers are nice, but the lighting on the leaves on the upper and middle rose are a bit harsh and are distracting. You also seem to have some kind of red feflection on the bottom right side with two white spots which you might have been able to control when you cropped. Nicely focused, and the background you used was wise.

nice shot...very artistic. the lighting and shadows seem a bit harsh for such a delicate subject...just my opinion, though.
