Not bad but I feel the focus could be a bit stronger on the couple, as well as the light falling on them isn´t making them very distinct against that backround, did you try very faint fill lighting from the side on them?

Very edgy and dramatic. It has a certain charm - definitely hair is the centerpiece, and the tattoo is a good choice, adds that little bit extra visual interest, draws you right to the hair (as if the color wasn't draw enough!).

I love the symmetry, the geometry, and the black and white tones of this shot.

Bobbie, Don̢۪t get discouraged, just keep learning from your art teachers, and more importantly what you learn from the school of Suck. I believe you are on the cusp of being a damn good photographer. Just don̢۪t let DPC or your art teachers define you, If anything your nickname should be your inspiration, Wildcard, undefined, only you can choose the way you play it.
Funny thing, when I shoot for DPC I get aggravated and nothing comes out right, when I just go out and take pictures for the fun of it, and after review find one that fit̢۪s a challenge it always scores much better.
I have a exercise for you to try, take your camera to this same place and find a comfortable place to sit. Take a deep breath, and close your eyes, listen to the wind in the sails, feel the ebb and flow of the tide, take in all senses but sight. When you ‘feel ‘your environment. Then start taking pictures of what you are feeling, I bet you will be surprised at the end of the day..

I love the composition and subject. I'd suggest bumping up the contrast a bit, though, to make the fisherman stand out more.

Wow, this is really cool! It really conveys the magnitude of the sea compared to the fisherman. Hemingway would have approved :)
