F A I R Y T A L E D R E A M Sby GueDesignsComment by BobsterLobster: Why is the focus on the chain and not on the guy's face? No sense of context, it feels like the photo is trying to tell a story and we have no idea what it is. Burnt out background bokeh not good. |

Vikingby GueDesignsComment by Quigley: Viking, viking, viking... What about the vikins? The whole idea with a challenge like this (I think so anyway) is to draw the reader in. When you look through your local newspaper the headlines have about .5sec to grab you and make you want to read the story, so in this case you need to bring your "A" game. So something along the lines of " Vikings Promise New World Order" or "Long Forgotten Vikings Resurface as World Deals With History Now" or something to that effect. I hope this helps. Keep in mind that the title alone is no real reflection for how well your image will be recieved in a challenge under normal challenge submissions but in a challenge such as Photojournallism I think you need to use the title as the hook and your shot as the story. REMBER I'm only one opinion
Now onto the shot. The subject is "TAC" sharp and interesting this was a nice find for you. The colour conversion is spot on and the lighting is great. Sometimes lighting is hard even under advanced edit rules, but you did an awsome job here with Minimal and in Jpeg to boot. This must of been a fun event to attend. Anytime Vikings are involved you can count on action. Good luck this should do well based on the shot alone, but with an in your face headline you would have done better in my opinion. |

Vikingby GueDesignsComment by Veiolets: great photo. the blown out areas sure detract. without minimal editing, these could be easily repaired. |
