Nice scene but you haven't shown a good or otherwise use of negative space.
Your eyes should drawn to one thing in the photo supported by background.
like what if you had a blurred sunny grass as your background, your eyes would go straight to fisherman... That would be a good use of neg. space, understand? it supports not detracts.

I like the idea of this picture. There is too much blue. And it's too saturated, especially in the umbrella (for my taste) The guy's shadow looks too blue as well instead of grey. The whole picture just seems somewhat blurry.
