boxesby DustinComment by dsidwell: Ha! Film we don't need in digital photography! Nice arrangement of this still life. The various angles of the boxes lead my eye all around to explore the photograph. The lighting helps the angles do their work. The only distraction I find is the photo's graininess. I love grain, but I can't see the reason for it here. Very nice work. |

Nice idea and well executed! I like you concept here. The 'waldo' is clearly seen, but by being translucent not the main focus of the shot. Your angle and composition are good. Might work stronger at a sharper angle so as to block out the divider from the left side of the shot. Being that you are working with light from outside as well as inside, your metering is good. The balance between light and dark is good. You have a little noise in your shot, but not enough to distract.
Good originality and execution. |

boxesby DustinComment by Swashbuckler: Lots of yellow. While the reflections IN the glass are really neat, the reflection of light back onto the boxes makes the photo seem grainy in places. Framing - boxes are cropped in places that don't seem to add meaning, interest or beauty. (But then again, I can't see what may have been cropped out!) Sorry, 4 Swash |
