Strictly speaking, this does not meet the definition of macro. Macro is usually understood as 1X to 10X life size. The point is made, because you probably lost points to purists.
This does come across as a nice abstract.
I think a little more depth of field and a tighter crop could have been helpful. As presented, I find the shadow and dark areas in the upper third of the picture a bit distracting. The "teeth" of this old beastie are the secret to this picture. Make the most of them.
I would also play with the saturation of the red. I don't know if it will help or hurt, I just see it as a possiblity.
I'd come back on a day with some sunshine and maybe just a few clouds. Polish the shiny areas of the grill, and capture some of that blue and clouds in the chrome. Then send it off to a car magazine and wait for the check. This photo has a lot of potential. |

Spring Creek Ranchby baco99Comment by lynnmarie: The view down into the valley from this site is nice. I think that buildinge below and the roof edge on the left area bit distracting. |

Spring Creek Ranchby baco99Comment by Physics_Guru: This is a nice shot. The only thing I could say against it is the brightly lit side of the building is too much compared to the dim valley... either the house should be dimmed a little or the valley brightened a little to make the gap between them smaller in my opinion. But even still this is nice. I'd love to spend a week relaxing there!! |

Spring Creek Ranchby baco99Comment by butch81385: I am not personally a fan of the cropping: cuttin off part of the hous on the right and only showing a small part of the roof on the left. However, it is still a very nice composition and worth a 6 |
