I agree that the burn/dodge is a bit overdone, but it gives a great glow feeling to the scene and although it would get hammered in a challenge setting I think it works well on this image.

I've been looking at this one for a couple of days now. And every time I do I see this shine, grasshopper right in the middle where the mirror design meets. This is a great way to present the tree without being boring.

I don't know that I've ever heard of Hot Crossed Buns. I don't know if they sell them here and just don't make that big a deal of them or if I've just missed them -- but they sure look yummy. I don't even want to get started :)

The comany I work for owns 2 luxury hotels on our Riverwalk, which we get complimentary nights to if its not full. I love staying down there just to pamper ourselves -- especially at Christmas when all the Christmas lights are sparkling up the riverwalk.

This reminds me of how fun that is!
