The Ladsby RetroesqueComment by twmax: This is really good at what I'm terrible at...getting good candid shots. Even faceless, the photo is very interesting. It may be just DOF, but the blurred buildings in the background add to a feeling of motion in the photo. |

The Ladsby RetroesqueComment by SandyP: What I like about it is that it has such a strong urban feel, yet its a bold fill-the-frame close-up. So often urban scenes are expansive and have so much "stuff" in them, but this is direct and straight to the point. I like it. I like it that we're looking at them from behind -- like we're part of the scene but not intruding.
Nice job.

The Ladsby RetroesqueComment by Ecce_Signum: Ah, candids, I need to get out and take some and, might start off with peoples backs (so they don't know lol).
Like the comments about looking the same (they all have large left ears as well).

The Ladsby RetroesqueComment by Sonifo: Originally posted by bassbone: the uniqueness of togetherness...i love how teenage kids need to rebel against the norm and all end up looking the same. |
This is sooo true!
I really like how you captured the styles without showing any faces. Does that one have a cigarette in his hand and what sorta pouch is it that he is wearing? Camera? |

The Ladsby RetroesqueComment by pineapple: The music of a picture, painting, sketch or photo, is something I sense quickly, and a tool I often overlook when composing. You remind me to think more of this aspect. Also the synchronized view is often put aside in favour of the blue, off-beat note. I like the synchronized lads here and that their faces are turned away. |

The Ladsby RetroesqueComment by SaraR: Good conversion - the sunlight on the shoulders really helps to seperate the lads from the background. I love the poses, especially the hand. |

The Ladsby RetroesqueComment by UrfaK: The composition really works for me. I like the slight tilt and the crop.. bet they'd be horrified that they look the same from behind.. |

The Ladsby RetroesqueComment by Melethia: I was just about to write almost exactly what Peter said already. I was noticing this with teenagers/young adults the other day, how they all try to be so individual yet still wish to "fit in" - this shot says a lot of that! |
