Hello, Corey,

Your picture, "Fizzz", meets the challenge.

It looks like you took the picture in low light, because of the graininess of the purplish background. Maybe you could work on better lighting. It also helps to use a tripod or some other way to steady the camera to get better focus. You also can use post-processing to "fix" a grainy picture somewhat (e.g. NeatImage), although you have to go careful to not overuse it as you end up with bad results.

As far as composition, it might have been better to just photograph the two bottles (no caps, no ruler, no strap). A slightly different angle (from above but a bit to the side) might also have worked better. "From above" can be very dramatic, but sometimes it's not the best choice to go straight from above.

This truck could definately work in a mini truckin magazine, but the surroundings are definately not right for the front cover of the magazine. Besides, where's the chick in the swimsuit? lol
The powerlines, lines in the parkinglot, other red car and uncontroled glare on the window just don't make it to the front page. focus is also a little soft.

Terrible, it looks like a picture I'd see in the "Penny Saver" car ads. :D :D :D Did you notice the red car on the right? Kinda ruins the shot.

The sun glare is a bit much, but more distracting is the fractured/posterized look in the background and parts of the foreground - I'm not sure if resizing the image a bit smaller would have made it worse or better. Getting it without the other car right in the background might have been less distracting.

Personally I do not consider magazines to be in a horizontal shape... thats just me though. The glare coming off the windshield is really bothersome. Also this kind of just looks like a snapshot, and I'm pretty sure a magazine would try to make the truck look as good as possible. This might be a photo you would see in some tiny add trying to sell the truck but it's definitely not front cover quality. Sorry.

OK, a fizzy liquid. It's not too recognizable down in the bottles. Also, the phot is very pixelated and noisy. Because of that it's hard to tell, but the focus doesn't look very sharp. Not sure what the ruler is there for. 3

Way too low res. Massive pixelation all over. This needs to just be taken a lot closer to say the least. THe composition isn't that strong either. I don't get the ruler thing at all.
