I think this is a really excellent portrait and has a very genuine (looking) expression captured. Great lighting and composition - nice use of white space, yes I can see it's black.

Doesn't look off-center because the bubbles are at least half of the subject. It's a GREAT shot however, but just doesn't fit the challenge that well. :(
