The light in the shadows is great here! In the sun, it may be a bit bright. You might try experimenting with dropping the levels to make the whole image darker, which might add more mystery as well as keep areas from being burned.

To be an outstanding challenge photo, I think it needs to look like something more than a snapshot of a pal. This looks like something anyone could take from any camera. There are reflections on the glasses, the lighting isn't particularly exciting and, although it's a nice point of view of the challenge theme, it doesn't have a whole lot of impact.
