Gone Fishin'by PedroComment by indigo997: Bumping this one up. It's growing on me. Nice shot. I like the diagonal of the shore and stick. Needs a little more range of tones IMO. Not sure I like the choice of color, but it's a cute capture. |

Gone Fishin'by PedroComment by PTLParsons: Feel this would have been better in color. Can't see what it is that he's looking at on the ground, and in color might have been able to see it. I could be wrong, but I don't see any line or anything on the stick to make it a fishing pole. Maybe that's nit-picking but the title says he is fishing. And the photo doesn't show that. Even though it is a nicely focus and well cropped photo. Has great potential with better execution. Best of luck. |

Gone Fishin'by PedroComment by joanns: Beautiful! I love everything about this photograph. I love the texture of the water, the way the rocks are angled up across the canvas and, of course, the little fisherman. Wonderfully emotive. He didn't lose his shoe in the mud did he? Oh, I like your choice of duo tone. |

Gone Fishin'by PedroComment by sher: i love this! the sepia tone makes this have a very soft feel. the subject is a little dark, but well done, nevertheless. |

Gone Fishin'by PedroComment by JPR: Splendid shot! One of 4 of my 10's this week. I love the composition -- the way the straightness of the stick comes nicely out of the bottom of the curved line of rocks. I like that the boy is looking down at something on the muddy ground (for small wildlife perhaps) and not at you or out at the water as would be the case in a typical shot. The one thing I don't like is the color you chose for what I assume was a duotone process. However, I can't decide on what color would have been better. Perhaps something a little less red but still similar. Maybe a tritone. I would play with some variations. It is, of course, still quite excellent how it is and one of my favorites. I have a feeling that you'll be receiving a ribbon this week. |

Gone Fishin'by PedroComment by kellymcg: Beautiful pic. The compositin is perfect and I like that the boy seems to be involed in his own thing. Maybe a little less red tone. 10 |
