Forrest Gump by PedroComment by Luckydog: Well Done! Very good shot without the movie theme. Nice and crisp, sharp focus (i don't remember if he had sneakers on with his suit in the movie but i don't care)Sorry i can't put a vote in for you but if this doesn't get a ribbon i'll buy you "a box of chocolate" :)
Best entry by far....Good Luck and see you on the podium |

Forrest Gump by PedroComment by Gringo: This is my favorite shot in the challenge. There is no mistaking who or what this is. B/W is a good choice for this shot. You should have bought the box of chocolates, I know you thought about it. Good Luck |

Forrest Gump by PedroComment by jenarom: This is one of the bets pictures in the challenge, as it closely tries to mimic a scene from the movie. The bench, suit, shoes, briefcase, pose, etc are very good. I don't want to sound that perfectionist, but his face seems to tough to be Forrest Gump. Ha! Don't take this last comment too serious. Your picture is very good, and perfect for the challenge. Good luck! |

Forrest Gump by PedroComment by BobsterLobster: Nice shot, well composed. Tones are a little on the light side for my taste. Could do with a little sharpening. 8 |

Forrest Gump by PedroComment by robsmith: My voting criteria for this challenge are:
1. Did you capture a scene from the movie (as the challenge brief states) or did you enter a picture and fit a title to it.
2. How close a rendition is your image to the movie.
3. How does the image stand up in its own right.
In this case:
1. Pretty obvious that you shot this specifically for the challenge.
2. Almost spot on. I guess this is the scene most people remember and as it was used as the advertising image (at least in the UK) even those who haven't seen the film may know it. I could be picky and say that the suit's too dark, it's the wrong type of bench, he's sitting in the wrong place, etc. but so what. You've captured an image that screams its title without being titled.
3. Would this image stand up in its own right? Difficult to say as it's so closely tied to the film. The setting is wonderful and a picture with other people sitting on the bench would work well.
Overall a very good picture which meets the challenge so closely watchout for copyright infringement notices being sent. 10 |
