DSC_8262.jpgby PedroComment by Pedro: not even close - perched on the bow of a 10-foot water taxi, waves tossing me all over the place...wide angle lens, pointed in the general direction of the Main Attraction and bursted about 6 shots.
I exposed for the sky and dodged the details back into the rocks and water, which were modestly underexposed.
I don't bracket that often either...i shoot raw exclusively, so occasionally i'll layer multiple exposures of the same file if I'm trying to preserve the integrity of it. |

DSC_8262.jpgby PedroComment by pawdrix: I'm curious if you used a tripod and bracketed exposure here? Very nice however you got it. I never bracket and I wish I did when I was in Mexico but I had no tripod. Please PM me a simple yes or no. |

Cozyby PedroComment by elru21: Nicely done. Great sharpenss and colors. I like the model's hands up near her face, too, especially with your compostion. I think your main light is a little low. The catchlights are at 7 or 8 o'clock in her eyes, instead of 10 o'clock and the nose shadow goes up her face towards the eye instead of under her nose. Other than that, I think this is spot on. 7 from me. |

My Dog for a Dayby PedroComment by Shecoya: not sure how you managed to make this feel like a candid shot of an animal but you were very successful... I'd forgotten this story until I stumbled back on this picture.. you know the great part? You two were able to touch each others spirit even if only for a moment and likely left an imprint long after your paths parted ways.
That is the beauty of life.. two legged or four we are all connected. |
