The 'fog' in this scene is definitely a nice element of the photo. I also like the silhouetted trees framing the right side of the image. What I don't like about this image is the flat color tone. Looking at the camera settings here, it looks to be deliberately underexposed, which created this effect. I"m not sure why... maybe that was necessary to highlight the fog clouds that you reference in the title.

The only suggestion I could maybe offer to improve this shot would be to slow down the shutter and let some more exposure brighten things up a bit :)

Any photographer that takes advantage of this type of weather phenomenon gets my respect. Early or late, this is the type of thing that'll make a great picture. One thing: shame the foreground wasn't a tad lighter.

Nice shot. Really meets the challenge. Focus is great. Lighting is just a bit dark in the foreground, but I suspect that if you brightened it you'd lose some of the detail in the sky. 8 waltoml.

Beautiful shot, wish the artifacts in the sky could have been lessened a bit especially where the light and dark areas of the sky meet. Maybe a tad increase in gamma to bring out the foreground and detail a bit. Love the composition and the scenery couldn't have been prettier. Good capture! 8

Great composition, I think, but the picture is a bit dark in the foreground for my. I either like complete silhouettes (like the tree on teh right), or being able to distinguish the details. I love how you have captured the fog/mist on teh lower left, just wish I could see more of it. Overall, an excellent shot, and it reminds me of home!

Hey. That looks a lot like East TN (my nome). I really like the bottom half of the photo. You did a good job of keeping color and shape in the foreground with such low lighting. There's just too much sky for me, and it makes the whole thing seem bottom heavy. Maybe if you could have captured more light and color in the sky ...

I think I might have left the two tall trees on the left out of the pic. It would've given it a more abstract feel. More of a study in texture than objects. Nice pic nonetheless - Inspzil
