A nice clean simple shot to show off the bread. I'm not one way or the other about the shadow - it doesn't bother me, but I can see where some might not have wanted it there. I do realize this is about simplicity, but I like backgrounds with just a wee bit of context rather than pure black. I also realize I'm in the minority when it comes to that, so please ignore me. :-)

This is a very nice image. I think he cleaning up the bread crumbs on the bottom might have added to the cleanliness of the image. My eyes are drawn Poor's those crumbs.
