This is beautiful. And it's quite amazing for straight from the camera. I'm wondering if you had the saturation and sharpening set to high when you took the shot. In general, I'm tired of all the over-manipulated sunrises and sunsets we see on DPC, but this rings true somehow, and therefore I like it a lot. Usually I'd expect the sun to be off center for good composition, but with the gulls, this composition has a pleasing balance. Congratulation on a good score.

I can see the kitchen envy! I don't cook so I don't share that envy but I do like the way the pots and pans are displayed like this. Better lighting might have helped but very few kitchens have professional lighting set up for photography. :-)

Yeah the lighting is a little off in the BG but the angle you shot from is cool. I have kitchen envy too!!

This is just very lovely, the composition has a nice balance to it. Great colors, and the glints of light off the water. I'm not sure the border color works well with the shot, though.
