Turquoiseby NikonJebComment by levyj413: Ha! Maybe cropping tighter would have made the point better? Like bringing the top all the way down so their heads are as far from the top as their feet are from the bottom.
Also, I think a different title could help you answer emorgan49's excellent questions. Not every shot has to have a moral, but you increase the impact if it does. |

Turquoiseby NikonJebComment by Alicia: I kind of like this. Too bad it got slammed so badly. It does fit the challenge - a burst of color indeed.
As an aside - and you probably know this - you don't need a model release for street photography unless you're going to use it to advertise for something or put it on the cover of a book. I find it annoying to think that some people voted you down on account of their misinformation. |

The Purple Peopleby NikonJebComment by see: Jeb, one advantage of having a LCD screen, is when I look at a submitted photo on my screen I can look at it from different directions and get lighter and darker images strait on yours seems a little dark and with a slight yellow cast, but when viewed looking down on my screen I see it as you probably saw it, and it is a very good picture, you might want to calibrate your monitor. In my humble opinion. |

Floral Stillby NikonJebComment by levyj413: A pretty shot, Jeb. I think 5.8 is about right. I'm not sure you could improve the score much, but to me, the partially blurred, partially sharp bits distract me. I think I'd like it even better if it were more blurred, making it more of an abstract. Wonderful colors and contrast, though. :) |
