Treefall...by NikonJebComment by streetpigeon: The upthrust rocks that were, and still are, embraced by the fallen tree's roots have a unity of form, texture and composition that is satisfying. Yet, the sense of impermanence informs the scene, as the tree is uprooted, but countered by the enduring rocks. It reveals what's below the surface. It offers acceptance of the transitory and renewal. It's untidy and oblivious to ideas of intent and beauty. It just is.
