A Horse with No Name...by NikonJebComment by snaffles: I don't have time to verify this beastie's identity right now, but at a guess I'd say it's a Lippman, that style is quite primitive and yes, indigenous to the States. Nice job of selective desat btw!
Actually according to my sources, it's probably an Armitage Herschell (1885), or a copy of one :-) Message edited by author 2009-05-03 18:00:02. |

The Train Station...by NikonJebComment by EstimatedEyes: Loved the lighting and sharpness, and the forms and for the most part the composition. Wished the P in ennsylvania wasn't cut off, and would have liked to have seen where those stairs led. Gave you a 6 |

A Horse with No Name...by NikonJebComment by rlmichael: It does look a little out of place. I may have done some work on the cast shadow. It is a little dark and takes away from the overall photo. Now this may have been your intent, if so great job. I like the parrellel cast shadow at the top. That stright line in contrast to the curves of the hores adds tension and interest to the photo. Great job, Mike |

A Horse with No Name...by NikonJebComment by Farmr: Good use of B/W . . . I think either a bit later in the day or a bit earlier would have given a better capture, it would have removed the large shadow of the roof line in the photo. That line is detracting from your subject. |

The Train Station...by NikonJebComment by smudgeSMJ: The gold and red look great together, glad you kept it in color. Great shot, busy but it works, reminds me of MC Escher almost with all the stairs. |
