although this is a very good idea...what I get out of this shot is 1)the squares of the waffle...that is what I see first then 2) the raspberries...if you had widened your shot and included all the plate to me that would have been a better presentation

For me, this is too dark. The glass globe on the lamp seems dirty (especially the top). I so want to like this shot - it has lots of the elements I love, but for me it struggles. Things like cropping the lamp (right side) but not the clock (left edge), the lamp reflector being almost edge-on to the viewer, rather than behind and slightly to the right of the lamp, etc. Even though it seems too dark for me, I do like the uniformity of lighting between the clock and the lamp.

I can't tell if it's glare or dust, but there are some spots that are distracting above the bridge. Not the sharpest pic, but not bad for doing it by starlight either. If more of the sky were included, it would be easier to see the motion of the stars and your title would make sense right away.
