I like those quick pencil strokes drawing a picture of gathering. High key leaves enough to the imagination and draws it away from the banal.

I like the concept of this. The direct sunlight looks a little harsh on the tree, especially the one of the left. The wood on wood gives different textures to the shot, but I'm thinking perhaps a different angle? Like looking up towards the tree, laying on the ground, taking the shot (but still keeping the fence in)? I don't know if it would work.. but it's worth a shot to try.
Anyhow... I do like the detail, the lighting is just throwing it off for me.
