Time technology from the 1930'sby jimsappComment by inspzil: This picture is one of the very few that can pull off a soft focus shot. This is a very effective shot. Despite the focus being a little shot there is a lot of detail involved. The angle is good. The choice of this tone was a very sound one. The only thing about this shot that I don't like is that bit of the hinge and lid showing on the right side. I know it's supposed to be there but I have this feeling of interruption by it. I think you should've shown more, or none of it. Its an excellent shot. I initially gave it a 7, but I'm going to change that to an 8. If you don't like it, PM me and I'll change it back. - Inspzil |

Time technology from the 1930'sby jimsappComment by Gracious: Nice composition and sepia effect. All the curves are appealing. Focus is good but just a little soft. Meets the challenge creatively. Consider side lighting to highlight the 3 dimensions. Good luck in the challenge! 7 Grayce |

Time technology from the 1930'sby jimsappComment by PTLParsons: Great old watch. Does it still run. I collect old watches. I try to get them all running. My famorite ones are the self winding or "automatic" ones. The next are any with "sweep" second hands. I love the color. Wish the crop wasn't so tight, good focus, and good subject. Great for challenge. Good job. PTL |
