This is nice. I like the distinct foreground/background with good use of DOF. If the exposure was picked up a notch or two it would score even higher IMO. The flower petals should be closer to a true white. Just a small bump with curves would do it - perhaps even a histogram adjustment?

Overall I like it. Well seen and captured. Good luck in the challenge.

Nice simple setup. Might be better from a higher viewpoint, so you can see more flower centres. I love the bg colours.
