Black-Eyed Susanby EmerkazaComment by Daspar: Great shot of the flower but the 'grain' doesn't impact the picture in the way the challenge called for. However, it is bright, sunny, and most hopeful for a great summer! |

Potlatch Bowlby EmerkazaComment by vawendy: I would have thought that there would be more carved bowls, but I didn't find hardly any!

Uneditedby EmerkazaComment by Dirt_Diver: To get those bright areas away you can use a ND filter, or multiple ND filters. You could wait until later in the day, if you wait until civil twilight you might get some nice moon light on the area. You could adjust your exposure comp to somewhere around -2 or less to remove the blown hightlights but in reality you want to have your histogram more towards the whites than the blacks. If you over expose the shot your more likely to edit it and bring them back/change the color vs under exposing it and losing all those pixels. I love the water shot but try shooting later in the day first.
One thing that was told to me was shoot the same thing from around the same general area 24 different times of the day. Doesn't need to me all on the same day but experiment with time of day, weather, tide, and so on. You will get a different shot each time.
Good luck, sorry I didn't post in the thread, I didn't read it all nor did I see other suggestions so excuse me if you have already found an anwser. Good luck |

Potlatch Bowlby EmerkazaComment by IWhispered: Not sure I like the upside down angle. What do you put in that? I like the face of the bowl, from what I can see. |
