A macro lens perhaps with a shorter focal point so that more blur of outside fingers and forearm or open up to get more in focus and more detail. I like otherwise.

good idea ... it's slightly noisy ... and the blown areas below the fingers hurt this one ... try playing with curves to bring those back around ...

Greetings from the Critique Club.

Composition: In general, I really do like this. The ripples take me further into the image and the stick makes my eyes hover there. I feel however a larger focal object would have worked better.

Technical: I love the lighting and colour...it is relaxing to view. Well done.

Overall:I know this image fit the challenge...but I feel it was missing the 'wow' factor that some of the other images seem to have. That in itself was the biggest downfall of this image.

really makes u stop and stare, dont it? try it again with just a noise filter and see how that one looks too. really nice image that holds your attention.
