What a wonderful treasure! I find that many times I enjoy visiting shots after challenges to see the stories behind them - this is one of those that really makes me glad I do. I didn't vote this challenge so I hadn't seen this one before.

I don't mind the blurry foreground but a lot of people do find it distracting. In a lot of cases, to me, it supports the rest of the shot by moving the attention to the sharper areas, but that doesn't work for everyone. I'm always fascinated by reflections in puddles but find it's really quite hard to capture that fascination well.

What a gorgeous orchid! The diagonal comp and the blooms yet to open support this very well. Nice good color without being overdone and well-balanced background.

A nice shot of as you say a "classic" - the white picket fence. I do think these are lovely and the plants around it support it well. A very slight crop off the top to remove the house might give this a touch more strength.
