P3090320wk10.jpgby salmiakkiComment by WalesP: Love the sharpness of this picture and the people add a wonderful sense of scale. Maybe some dodge and burn (mostly dodge) in the sky would add some interest there. |

P3090320wk10.jpgby salmiakkiComment by Ken: My eye is immediately drawn the high contrast area by the columns, then to the people in dark color clothing. Then I follow the lighter areas all around the photo. This is what makes a photo engaging for me. I personally like the perspective the way it is, it throws things off balance just a tad. |

LLOuttake2.jpgby salmiakkiComment by tnun: Many many sweet lines, working sweetly together. Also sweet is the way the man is leaning/swiveling in consonance with these lines. Yes, this IS a better picture than your challenge entry, though that was interesting and seemed to have lines leading further; this is just so much more integrated. |

week-8-300_0575.jpgby salmiakkiComment by twmax: I think when you view a flower in black and white, you're much more apt to see the textures, and other detail of the flower. Sometimes the color overwhelms a photo like this, and you miss a lot. This is a striking image. |

week-8-300_0575.jpgby salmiakkiComment by SandyP: Tulips make such beautiful black and white photos. They are my favorite flower, and I love how you have positioned and captured this one.

week-8-300_0575.jpgby salmiakkiComment by Ecce_Signum: Am sure using the word 'classic' doesn't detract from this image Sarah. We have all seen shots similar to this however this stands out as the composition, dof, exposure and colour (ok black and white) are all exceptional.
btw, I prefer this crop to the original and feel B&W turns it from a good Tulip shot to a great one!
