The Orthodox Churchby salmiakkiComment by Melethia: You chose a very nice angle to shoot this - it's well composed and minimizes any distortion aspects. Contrast is very good - very clean and crisp. And it's a very lovely structure. |

End of season.jpgby salmiakkiComment by AP: the composition is spot on, complimented further by the great DoF effects. You've managed to take something ordinary and create something of visual interest and value, thats what photography is all about. |

300_0257-wk-6.jpgby salmiakkiComment by bassbone: the straightness of the bare trees is very cool - i am just not sure about the dead space on the left - a slightly different angle so that the person is in play would have made this one stellar... |

wk11.jpgby salmiakkiComment by Melethia: This is a scene very well suited to B&W. It renders it crisply and cleanly. Nice gradations in grays as well. |

P3090320wk10.jpgby salmiakkiComment by Melethia: I see others have already mentioned it, but I also like the skewed perspective. I shot a LOT with my wide angle in London and I rather like leaving them skewed - not just because it's a pain to fix in post, but because I like the view it gives. |

wk11.jpgby salmiakkiComment by SandyP: Whoa! I missed this on in my comments from last week! WOW! That is downright majestic. Please DO shoot as many photos of Liverpool as possible. Seeing those old, old European cities with so much beautiful architecture and culture is such a treat seeing as how America doesn't have any buildings half that old because it hasn't even been in existence that long. This is beautiful. I love the entire scene with the birds in the water, the contrasting architecture. The water. YUMMY ! ! ! !

wk11.jpgby salmiakkiComment by Ken: This is an interesting building and the detail makes me want to spend some time looking around. I especially like those signs. Add me to the more contrast group, at least for the top half of the shot. |
